PRACTICAL ADVOCACY TRAINING COMMITTEE

Developing legal students’ advocacy and litigation abilities is essential to their growth as capable practitioners. The goal of this training is to give students the skills they need to successfully negotiate the intricacies of legal practice by covering a number of important topics. The development of effective writing and verbal communication skills is emphasized in advocacy training. Persuasive communication of intricate legal arguments is necessary for attorneys, both in court and in written materials like motions and briefs. Students who receive litigation training have a hands-on understanding of trial advocacy strategies, rules of evidence, and courtroom processes. This entails becoming proficient in making objections, presenting evidence, conducting direct and cross-examinations, and giving opening and closing remarks. Students can put their skills to use in a mock court setting through hands-on activities including mock trials and moot court competitions.

OBJECTIVES OF PAT COMMITTEE:
